Patience…Patience…

Lean is a “Crock-pot” mentality.

Think of the absurdity of putting a five pound roast in a slow cooker at 8:00am and then returning to the cooker at 9:00am and expecting the meat to be fully cooked and ready for consumption. If you wanted the meat to be done in that amount of time, you should have used a microwave, which by the way, would yield less than desirable results. In a Lean environment, patience is needed as the organization builds capabilities, creativity and the culture needed to successfully implement lean.

This does not happen overnight!
